20 Years Fado Museum | Video Mapping | Free admission

From November 23rd to 27th the Fado Museum marks 20 years of activity with a special gift: during five nights, the facade of the Museum will be the stage of a video mapping show, providing a fascinating journey through the history of Fado, from the nineteenth century to our days, always with eyes on the future.

Revisiting the most remarkable moments in the history of Fado, illustrated with some of the most emblematic pieces of the Museum's collection, this 12-minute show was conceived through a partnership between EGEAC | MUSEU DO FADO and the Ocubo studio, with the participation of Carlos do Carmo, Mariza, Camané and José Manuel Neto, who recorded audiovisual records to mark this double anniversary: 20 years of activity of the Fado Museum (1998-2018) and 7 years of Fado registration in the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (UNESCO, November 27, 2011). The Fado Museum thanks the collaboration of the Amália Rodrigues Foundation.

After the video-mapping sessions, the public is invited to see the new temporary exhibitions of the Fado Museum: in room 1, the immersive projection that celebrates these 20 years of activity and, in room 2, the exhibition that marks the centenary of the birth by Maria Teresa de Noronha.

The Live Concert Series Live 2018 kicks off on October 29th at 10pm with the Xutos & Pontapés . It follows, on November 5, songwriter Sérgio Godinho , who this year released the album Nação Valente. And it takes guests, yet to be announced. The month continues with Carolina Deslandes , on the 12th, Os Azeitonas , the 19th, and C4 Pedro , on the 26th. HMB 's soul is heard on December 3, while Linda Martini performs this year's self-titled album on the tenth day of the month. The 17 is the time of rapper Papillon to show what it's worth. On Christmas Day, a Tuesday, the Gospel Collective acts. Finally, on 31 December, The Gift ends this free concert cycle. The program runs on Mondays at 10:00 p.m, except on Christmas night (Tuesday) and New Year's Eve (Monday, the time has yet to be set). Admission is free .
